SOPHOMORE SERVICE REQUIREMENT
All 10th grade students are required to participate in 1 (K)night of Service AND complete 10 additional hours before May 19, 2018.
(K)nights of Service are class level service trips designed specifically for St. Francis Sophomores. Each Knight of Service will bring groups of students to serve at the Midnight Mission, a homeless and social services agency in downtown Los Angeles. Under the supervision of a kitchen staff, your son(s) will help prepare and serve the dinner meal for over 200 homeless men and women living on Skid Row.
Students will be asked to sign up for a trip in their religion classes as soon as possible. Spots are on a first come-first serve basis. Once you have signed up, families will receive detailed information and permission slips in a follow up email. These service trips will take place on designated Friday afternoons after school (2:30PM-6:45PM) throughout the school year (please see below). SFHS will provide transportation and faculty supervision for each trip. There is no cost to attend.

The Additional 10 Service Hours: The additional 10 service hours is only a minimum and students may complete them through a variety of different off-campus organizations or on campus. For a full description of the Christian Service program, please refer to pp. 8-10 in the Student/Parent handbook.
